SKIBINSKI PICNIC GROVE

Great People, Amazing Place

Skibinski Grove is in Millcreek, PA. The property was purchased in 1922 by Michael and Minnie Skibinski. They had a total of 17 children, Leo was the youngest Skibinski son born in 1927. After receiving his Belle Valley School Diploma and helping on the farm. He joined the Navy, after discharge he returned home where be began working at Hammermill for many years until his retirement in 1986. Leo built and opened the grove so he could provide space for people to enjoy. Located at 5571 Henderson Rd in Erie Pa. He created and opened the grove on the property in the 1940’s. The dream Leo had was to provide an event space for all the local factories and social clubs. Providing space for reunions, graduations, and any gathering possible. Leo and his wife Catherine have both passed on. The grove is currently owned, operated and managed by his youngest daughter, Kimberly since 2014 following the death of her parents.

Kimberly currently resides in the home with her husband Kevin, and three sons Joshua, Benjamin, and Nikolas.

Kim works full time as a caseworker, utilizing her master’s degree in social work to help others in the community. Kimberly also still has future goals not only for the Grove but for her family’s future. 

July 2022, the property was third generation owned for 100 years.
